Historical Exhibits
Sarasota: The Settlement Era and Boom Years: This exhibit is the latest addition to one of the finest collections of Florida history to be found anywhere in our state. This exhibit begins with the year 1865 and chronicles the early settlements in Sarasota County and the pioneers who were instrumental to its growth.
Paul Rudolph: The Florida Houses: You will get a rare look at one of Florida’s most influential architects. Rudolph’s early residential work in Florida was widely published at the time of conception and played a significant role in the culture of mid-twentieth century American design.
Rising Seas: Life in Ancient Sarasota: You will get to know the animals and people who inhabited the Sarasota area from the height of the last glacial period until the eve of contact with European explorers.
