Pianist Ya Fei Chuang plays works by Chopin, Scarlatti, Ravel and Yehudi Wyner.
Prizewinner at the Cologne International Piano Competition at age
18, Ya-Fei Chuang has appeared at numerous festivals including the
Beethoven Festival in Warsaw, the European Music Festival in Stuttgart, the Bach Festival in Leipzig, and in the Schleswig-Holstein, Gilmore, Sarasota, Oregon, and Ravinia festivals, among others. She has appeared as a duo partner with Kim Kashkashian, Robert Levin, and with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic and
Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Chuang’s solo engagements include performances with the
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Handel & Haydn Society at Boston Symphony Hall, at Ozawa Hall at the Tanglewood Festival, a
tour with New York Philomusica, the Piano Festival Ruhr, in duo recitals with cellist Steven Isserlis, and a live CD recording with the Berlin Philharmonie. She has been invited to return to festivals in Sarasota, Oregon, and the European Festival in Stuttgart.
