On Wednesday, November, 25 2009, The Siesta Key Oyster Bar will be working to help fill the shelves of Sarasota’s local food bank, All Faiths Food Bank.

SKOB will be using the annual Turkey Trot Pub Crawl to help collect canned goods for area families that may need a little extra help during the upcoming holiday season. This year’s event hopes to fill the gap for the food deficient that is common each year at this time.

All “Crawlers” who bring two non-perishable food items to donate on the night of the event will receive a free Turkey Trot T-Shirt courtesy of Gold Coast Eagle, Sarasota’s local distributor of Budweiser products. In addition to shirts, Gold Coast Eagle will be giving away special collector cups to commemorate the evening.

Each year, SKOB, Daiquiri Deck and Gilligan’s, sponsor the popular Siesta Village event. The pre-Thanksgiving food drive & Pub Crawl will starts at 9pm. All Faiths Food Bank, will provide canister drop off boxes for the night.

The Siesta Key Oyster Bar has been a mainstay on the barrier island for years. They offer a complete menu of island specialties and a full bar. SKOB also features music seven days a week on their outside deck.
