ST. ARMANDS CIRCLE - THE PREMIER SHOPPING AND ENTERTAINMENT DESTINATION ON THE SOUTHWEST COAST OF FLORIDA
St. Armands Circle continues to be one of Sarasota's most popular tourist destinations. Renowned as a continental marketplace, The Circle is a charming and graceful synthesis of past and present. Choose from a variety of restaurants specializing in everything from burgers and fries to award-winning continental cuisine. Dine on the sidewalk and people-watch with your pooch or enjoy fine dining in a romantic setting. Here you’ll find chic boutiques, art galleries and specialty gift shops offering fine jewelry, designer fashions, home accents and the truly unique. Or perhaps your preference leans to more casual wear, fabulous swimwear, trinkets and Florida-themed product. You’ll find it all on St. Armands Circle. When the sun and shopping become tiresome, relax and be pampered at one of our posh spas or salons where you’ll receive an array of soothing treatments.
"We love the restaurants, galleries, the fine shops that St. Armands circle has to offer, and the great special events. The circle is what the Florida life style is all about. Where else can you shop all day, stroll to the beach for a world-renowned sunset, and then dine under the stars, all without ever moving your vehicle! We were engaged on the circle 14 years ago, and have been coming back ever since!"

St. Armands is located just two blocks from the Gulf of Mexico and the beautiful beaches of Lido Key and just south of world famous Longboat Key, one of the premier vacation destinations in all of Florida. Downtown Sarasota is just a short two miles east and can be easily reached by traveling over the John Ringling Causeway and the Inter-coastal Waterway. St. Armands Circle was the vision of circus magnate John Ringling, who purchased the island in 1917. Ringling’s influence is evident today in the design of streets radiating from the island’s hub and the Italian statuary from his personal collection. Planned as a luxury development with custom residences and upscale shopping on a roundabout, St. Armands has become the cosmopolitan shopping area and gathering place he envisioned.
"St. Armands Circle is the reason we chose Sarasota, above many others, as the place to relocate after raising our family. A visit to the circle truly is a unique, one-of-a-kind experience, reminiscent of many we have had during our travels in Europe. There are so many wonderful boutiques, art galleries and restaurants that each visit to the circle is "like the first time." There is such a wide variety of special events held on the circle each year, that we really enjoy attending, because there truly is something for everyone. Our favorite thing to do is to stroll the circle hand in hand, after enjoying a delicious dinner, followed by a moonlit walk on the beach. St. Armands Circle has so much charm and romance that we love to visit over and over and over again."
