While geared toward little tykes, G. WIZ: The Hands-On Science Museum is fun for big kids, as well.
G. WIZ features permanent exhibits, as well as touring exhibits. One of its most popular fixtures is the Mindball, which encourages good-hearted competition among friends. The object of the Mindball is to see who can move matter with, well, their mind.
In the G. WIZ Habitat, you’ll delve into the inner worlds of Florida’s native residents like snakes, turtles, fish and—for the not-so-faint-at-heart, Madagascar hissing cockroaches.
Explora Zone provides an array of fun for the whole family, whether you’re making a (safe) bolt of lightning at the Plasma Ball, goofing around with your voices at the Speaking Tubes or spinning around at the Gyro Spinner.
In Explora Zone, you can let loose and act goofy while learning something valuable at the same time.
Tech Zone will teach you mechanical engineering in Machine Village or let you make your own animated video or launch your own paper plane (in the Animation Workstation and the Aero Engineer).
Become a rock star in your own right with Laser Guitar in Wave Zone.
Test your speed and strength in Body Zone, where you can also see how far you can jump and how fast your heart pumps.
Whether you’re 5 or 50, you can’t deny that learning is fun at G. WIZ.
